EXPLR’s services are designed to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") and the related Federal Trade Commission ("FTC") regulations governing the collection of personal information from minors. Under COPPA, we are classified as an "operator" and are subject to specific obligations regarding the personal information of children under 13 years of age.
We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under the age of 13 without obtaining verified parental consent.
Parental Consent:
When subscribing to EXPLR, we verify a parent’s or guardian’s consent by collecting full credit card information and processing a monetary transaction. If no subscription or transaction is requested, we may still collect a parent’s or guardian’s credit card information to verify consent, charging a nominal, non-refundable fee.
Data Protection:
Once verified parental consent is obtained, any personal information collected, used, or disclosed regarding a child under 13 will be handled with the same high level of protection as all other personal data. We will not retain a child’s personal information longer than is reasonably necessary to:
Fulfill the services requested,
Allow the child to participate in the Service,
Ensure the security of users and our platform, or
Comply with applicable legal obligations.
Parental Rights:
Parents or guardians may review, correct, object to further processing, or request the deletion of their child's personal information at any time by emailing us at hello@explr-media.com. To protect your child’s privacy, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access to or deleting any information.
If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will promptly delete that information or seek parental consent as required by COPPA.
